Match Report: Trailfinders Women 60 v Gloucester-Hartpury 12

Trailfinders Women beat Gloucester-Hartpury during a dominant display in the opening round of the PWR Cup on Sunday (24 August 2025).

A hat-trick from Grace White and a brace from Vicky Laflin helped Trailfinders to a 60-12 victory over last year’s league champions.

The victory leaves the Londoners top of Pool A after Round One of the Cup.

The hosts got off to a flying start when Rosie Inman broke the line and passed to Brooke Bradley, who sprinted in to open the scoring.

Gloucester-Hartpury hit back through Mia Venner, before White got the better of her opposite number and put Trailfinders back into the lead.

Kathryn Buggy crossed the whitewash for the visitors to level the scores once again, but Cassandra Tuffnail powered over to make sure her side led at the break.

Vicky Laflin made her presence felt when she came from the bench, combining with debutant Haidee Head to score in the corner.

Moments later, Ella Amory extended the lead after Tuffnail made a breakaway following the restart.

Senior Academy player Crystal James had a dream start to life in a Trailfinders shirt as she forced her way over the try line with five minutes to play.
