Ealing Trailfinders posters pay homage to Ealing Studios

Local rugby team Ealing Trailfinders are turning their home fixtures into a celebration of cinema this season, with matchday posters inspired by the films of Ealing Studios.

The club announced that both the men’s and women’s teams will pay homage to the legendary film studio, which has been shaping British cinema for decades. From the wartime dramas of the 1940s to modern Oscar winners, the designs will draw on Ealing’s cinematic heritage to promote games throughout the campaign.

With the Rugby World Cup putting the spotlight on the sport, the club sees the project as an opportunity to unite two of the borough’s cultural exports.

Jack Cairns, head of marketing at Trailfinders, said: “It’s a celebration of two great institutions at the heart of the Ealing community; one that tell stories on the silver screen, and another that plays them out on the pitch – each demanding drama, spectacle, and touch of timeless style. We’re proud to bring them together in a way that honours what makes this place feel special.”

The first posters will mark the sides’ season openers: the men’s Championship Rugby fixture against Chinnor RFC on 11 October 2025, with artwork inspired by The Darkest Hour (2017), and Trailfinders Women’s PWR clash with Exeter Chiefs on 25 October 2025, drawing on Passport to Pimlico (1949).
