More than 20 players from Ealing Trailfinders men’s and women’s rugby teams sang their hearts out with Christmas carols and festive tunes at Ealing Broadway’s Dickens Yard.
The players braved a cold afternoon last Wednesday (11 December 2023) to offer renditions of Santa Claus Is Coming to Town, Christmas Is All Around Me, Let It Snow!, Jingle Bell Rock and Holly Jolly Christmas.
The two teams, who were led by Ealing Broadway ward Councillor and musician Julian Gallant, were welcomed by locals at Dickens Yard. It was also the second year for them to sing carols in Ealing Broadway.
Councillor Gallant told EALING.NEWS: “Well, this is fantastic. This is the chance for me to use my musical skills to accompany the choir and lead them in some great carol singing, which I think brings a great dimension to the centre of Ealing.”
Councillor Gallant added: “It’s a great opportunity to do an outdoor event here and I bought a piano especially for this occasion.”
