Ealing Trailfinders captain Angus Kernohan will return to the starting XV on Saturday (3 January 2026) as the Championship leaders face Worcester Warriors for what the club describes as their first meeting “in the professional era”.
Kernohan has not played since Ealing’s round-six match against Ampthill, but said he is “really excited ahead of the match” as the sides meet in round 13 at Trailfinders Sports Club.
He revealed: “We’ve had quite a long block of matches. Each game we have played has prepared us for this. This is our hardest challenge yet and one that I think a lot of eyes will be on so I’m super excited to be involved in it.”
Worcester’s return to professional rugby this season has added extra edge to the fixture. He added: “They’ve got a lot of hype around them. They have a lot of support around them. Because of that support, I think they have added more eyes onto the league overall and I think that Round 13 will be one of the most intense games of the season.”
