Ealing Fields High School were crowned champions of the NFL Flag Championship Europe at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Monday (6 October 2025), after defeating Germany’s Erasmus-Grasser-Gymnasium 27–12 in the under-15 final.
The one-day competition, now in its second year, brought together six all-girls school and club teams from across Europe — representing the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Austria and, for the first time, Ireland. The event showcased the rise of flag football, the non-contact variant of American football that is fast becoming one of the world’s most rapidly growing sports among young women.
Each team was aligned with an NFL club under the league’s Global Markets Program, which allows franchises to build a following beyond the United States. The New York Jets, who return to Tottenham this weekend to face the Denver Broncos, have long supported Ealing Fields through their Jets NFL Girls Flag League in London.
Henry Hodgson, general manager for NFL UK and Ireland, said: “We were delighted to host the NFL Flag Championship Europe at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the third consecutive year. The London Games provide us with a chance to display our key initiatives, and this event showed why youngsters should be engaging with flag football. Congratulations to all the teams for their performances and to Great Britain’s Ealing Fields for taking home the win.”
