Liberal Democrat candidate Pedro Da Conceicao on why he wants to become councillor for Northolt Mandeville ward

On 10 October 2024, residents in the Northolt Mandeville ward will take part in a by-election to vote for a new ward councillor.

EALING.NEWS has asked all candidates standing 7 questions about who they are, what they hope to deliver and why they want residents to vote for them.

Pedro Da Conceicao standing for the Liberal Democrats in Northolt Mandeville answers the 7 questions:

Tell us a bit about yourself, your priorities for the ward and why you want to be councillor for Northolt Mandeville?
My name is Pedro Da Conceicao, and I have always lived in the Ealing borough. My main concerns are a raising level of crime in the borough and the poor management of Ealing’s council homes.

What motivates you?
I am motivated by seeing people’s quality of life improving and making a fairer and more equal Ealing.

What is your own personal connection to either Northolt Mandeville or any other part of the borough?
I have lived and gone to school in the borough and therefore understand the issues and concerns of local people.

What do you consider to be your 3 top political, work or personal achievements and what impact have they had?
I ran a community focused action campaign during the general election to try and incorporate the views of the local community in parliament.

What do you consider to be the top 3 challenges Northolt Mandeville faces and how will you as a councillor address them?
I would say the Northolt Mandeville ward has a serious issue with crime and gangs. The ward needs better management of police resources and a more comprehensive youth club system. Liberal Democrats would look to make the area safe.

What do you love about Northolt Mandeville and the borough of Ealing?
I love the diversity in our borough that helps us thrive and do understand the differences that we share.

How accessible will you be to Northolt Mandeville residents and how can they get in contact with you now and if elected how will you ensure you are accessible to them in the future?
Northolt Mandeville residents can contact me on email at votepedro2024@hotmail.com or on social media.
