Current MP for Ealing North James Murray, who is seeking to be re-elected as the Labour and Co-operative candidate for the constituency has said Labour’s Great British Energy will offer cheaper gas and electricity and help small businesses.
Mr Murray revealed more details on a visit to Big Boys Cafe in Greenford where he was joined by Central Greenford Councillor Aysha Raza.

He said that Great British Energy, will be a publicly-owned power company and help cut energy prices and be paid for by a windfall tax on oil and gas companies.
Mr Murray said: “I want to say a huge thank you to the wonderful team at Big Boys Cafe for always keeping me and my team so well fed whenever we drop in. We need to support local cafes and other shops on our high streets to succeed – they are such an important part of all our lives. If Labour wins the next election, we will help businesses and households by investing in clean energy to cut energy bills for good.”
Ealing North has been represented by Mr Murray since 2019 when he was chosen to replace Stephen Pound who stood down after 22 years and won with a majority of 12,269 votes over the Conservatives.
