The official election period in Ealing has begun ahead of local elections in May (7 May 2026), when residents across the borough will vote to decide who runs the council for the next four years.
Political parties and independent candidates are contesting 70 seats across the borough’s 24 wards.
Ealing Council is currently run by Labour, which has held control since 2010. The council is currently made up of 57 Labour councillors, alongside eight Liberal Democrats, four Conservatives and one independent.
Polling cards are due to arrive with registered voters this week, setting out where they can cast their vote. Polling stations will be open from 7am to 10pm on election day.
Residents who are not yet registered are being urged to sign up before the deadline of 11:59pm on 20 April 2026. Applications can be made online via the government’s voter registration website.
Those wishing to vote by post must apply by 5pm on 21 April 2026.
