Storage calendar showcases Ealing branch

A new charity calendar for 2026 has given Ealing an unlikely moment in the spotlight, turning everyday storage units into a wry nationwide showcase.

Access Self Storage has released what it jokingly calls the “most boring calendar ever”, drawing on sites across the UK, including its West Ealing branch on Manor Road, to show a series of deadpan monthly scenes.

The 2026 edition features twelve units photographed with understated humour, each arranged around a seasonal or cultural theme. January opens with a set of dumbbells placed neatly inside a yellow doored unit in Edmonton, while February offers a single red heart floating in a cavernous Basingstoke warehouse. May’s entry, representing Ealing, is among the most eye catching, featuring Darth Vader’s mask peering from a yellow fronted locker in a nod to Star Wars and the date’s “May the fourth” pun.

Other scenes include daffodils in Twickenham, a poppy wreath in Wandsworth and a lone Christmas tree in Brentford, all staged and photographed by staff as part of an increasingly tongue in cheek annual tradition.

Despite its deliberately mundane premise, the calendar has a serious aim. Priced at £5 and sold across Access Self Storage’s 57 branches and online, all proceeds will be donated to Cancer Research UK. The company hopes to raise £10,000 to support the charity’s continued work in prevention, treatment and research.
