A man was arrested in Acton after Met Police officers on a joint patrol targeting antisocial behaviour detained a group in a supermarket car park on Tuesday (11 November 2025).
Officers from the Town Centre Team and Southfield Safer Neighbourhood Team had begun a coordinated sweep of known problem hotspots when they encountered several individuals gathered in the Morrisons car park.
Police said the man attempted to flee as officers approached, but was quickly stopped and searched. He was found carrying 50 wraps of heroin and crack cocaine, along with a bag filled with what officers believe to be stolen meat.
A small quantity of cannabis was also recovered. He was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and handling stolen goods, among other offences.
Officers said the arrest demonstrates ongoing concerns about groups congregating in the car park, creating what they described as an “unsafe and intimidating environment” for residents and shoppers.
Police have urged residents to continue reporting suspicious activity, either by calling 101, contacting the force online, or providing information anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
