In its first two and a half years since operating, Transport for London (TfL) has revealed than more than 500 million passenger journeys have been made on the Elizabeth line with over 25 million being accounted for across Ealing borough stations Acton Main Line, West Ealing, Southall and Ealing Broadway.
In released passenger numbers from TfL, the number of entry and exits in borough Elizabeth line stations from April 2023 to March 2024 were:
Acton Main Line: 2,234,516
West Ealing: 2,256,266
Southall: 6,968,560
Ealing Broadway: 13,699,654
Acton Main Line, West Ealing and Southall are exclusively Elizabeth line stations while Ealing Broadway station is served by National Rail services and Underground services.
The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, said: “The Elizabeth line has been a game-changer for the city, transforming travel in London and unlocking investment through the creation of new jobs and homes. With its growing popularity, the Elizabeth line is proving itself to be essential to London and the UK’s transport network and helping to build a better, more prosperous London for everyone.
Andy Lord, London’s Transport Commissioner, added: “The Elizabeth line has truly transformed life and travel in London and the South East by dramatically improving transport links, cutting journey times, providing additional capacity, and transforming accessibility.”
