A fire at Almahmud restaurant on Greenford Road in Greenford prompted a large emergency response on Saturday (28 March 2026) afternoon, with eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters called to the scene.
Crews tackled a blaze within the ducting of the ground floor premises, which has maisonettes above. Around ten people evacuated the building before firefighters arrived, and no injuries were reported.
The London Fire Brigade said it received the first call at 2.14pm and mobilised teams from Southall, Northolt, Park Royal and surrounding stations. Firefighters worked to contain the fire and brought it under control by 3.42pm.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the brigade’s fire investigation unit.
