Everyone Active has secured a new 10-year contract to continue running Ealing Council’s leisure centres, with a £2.5m investment programme promised across multiple locations in the borough.
The operator, which has managed Ealing’s facilities since 2013, will begin the renewed partnership with Ealing Council on 1 March 2026. The agreement will cover major venues including Acton Centre, Northolt Leisure Centre, Dormers Wells Leisure Centre and Brent Valley Golf Course and Fitness Centre, alongside several other sports and outdoor sites.
Under the deal, Everyone Active said the funding would be used to modernise gyms and studios, expand capacity where demand is growing and improve the overall customer experience.
At Acton Centre, the main gym is set to be expanded by about 50%, including a larger free weights area, as well as upgraded studio spaces. A new Reformer Studio is also planned. Northolt Leisure Centre will receive an enlarged gym and upgraded equipment, while Dormers Wells will see its main gym and women’s-only gym refreshed. Brent Valley’s gym is expected to be refurbished, with equipment relocated to improve layout and capacity.
The company said wider works would include improved wet changing facilities, refreshed group exercise studios and reconfigured layouts. Refurbishments are due to be completed by autumn 2026, with works phased to reduce disruption.
Phil Edwards, Everyone Active’s contract manager, said: “We are delighted to have secured this new 10-year contract with London Borough of Ealing.”
Councillor Blerina Hashani, Ealing’s cabinet member for thriving communities, said: “This long-term partnership with Everyone Active will help us support wellbeing across the borough for years to come.”
