EALING.NEWS has announced a partnership with Nextdoor UK, the neighbourhood network platform, in a move to increase community engagement across the borough.
As part of the first wave of UK local media outlets to join the platform, EALING.NEWS offers its community-focused journalism directly to residents of Ealing and its seven towns of Acton, Ealing, Greenford, Hanwell, Northolt, Perivale and Southall.
Residents can find EALING.NEWS on Nextdoor – https://nextdoor.co.uk/page/ealingnews
A spokesperson for EALING.NEWS said: “We are super chuffed with our partnership with Nextdoor UK and to be sharing our local and relevant news to Ealing residents across our borough.
“EALING.NEWS is the voice of our 7 towns which provides news, information and what’s happening in Acton, Ealing, Greenford, Hanwell, Northolt, Perivale and Southall. We are here to be a voice for all our communities, to champion Ealing, raise awareness of issues, showcase arts and culture and help to make Ealing a better place to live, work, run a business and study in.”
Residents opening the Nextdoor app will now see stories from EALING.NEWS integrated into their local feed. With the ability to share, comment on and discuss the news, neighbours are being offered a more active role in the stories that shape daily life across the borough.
Alice Skeats, head of partnerships for Nextdoor UK, said: “Local journalism is the heartbeat of our communities, making them stronger, safer, and more connected. We’re excited to partner with EALING.NEWS to deliver their trusted stories directly to neighbours on Nextdoor. By bringing local news to our platform, we’re keeping everyone informed, connected and ready for whatever’s happening in their neighbourhoods.”
EALING.NEWS joins more than 3,500 local publishers across the UK, US and Canada already using Nextdoor to create a direct line between their journalism and the communities they serve.
