The leader of the opposition of Ealing Council, Liberal Democrat Councillor Gary Malcolm is taking on the challenge to complete 10,000 steps a day in October to raise money for Shelter, a charity which campaigns and provides help and advice for people needing housing or facing homelessness.
Councillor Malcolm, who represents Southfield ward is determined to hit at least 310,000 steps in October come rain or shine.
The Ealing Liberal Democrat councillor said: “I started off doing 22,000 steps by walking in Kensington Gardens at the weekend but it will be tough to make sure I do 10,000 steps every day. The money goes to a great cause who help people in need especially with the cost-of-living crisis we have at the moment.”
