Ealing Charity Christmas Card Shop gets visit from local MP Dr Rupa Huq

There are now just ten days left to buy festive greetings cards from the Ealing Charity Christmas Card Shop.

The all volunteer run shop, located at Church of Christ the Saviour in New Broadway, Ealing, offers Christmas cards where 100% of the money raised goes to charity.

This year sees over 200 designs from charities both local, national and international including Age UK Ealing, British Heart Foundation, Cancer Research UK,  Combat Stress, Ealing Samaritans, Ealing Amnesty International, Parkinson’s UK, Soil Association, and Stella Maris – Apostleship of the Sea.

Now marking its 39th year of offering seasonal greeting cards that raise funds to help others, the shop is open between 10am and 4pm Mondays to Saturdays until Thursday, 19 December 2024.

Ealing Central and Acton MP, Dr Rupa Huq has been a regular customer and has high praise for the work the shop does which was founded by Sue Green.

Dr Huq said: “I’ve been visiting the award-winning Ealing Charity Christmas Card Shop for 10 years now and remember celebrating its 30th anniversary. It’s been going 39 years strong in which time it has been generating much-needed funds for local charities. My huge admiration to Sue and her team of volunteers.”

Ms Green said: “We’re just over half way through our pop-up period and sales are looking good in comparison to previous years.”

Since 1985, it has raised over £900,000 for over 100 charities by selling 5m cards.

Age UK Ealing, Alzheimer’s Society, Book Aid International, Bridge of Hope, British Heart Foundation, Cancer Research UK, Cardiac Risk in the Young, Christian Aid, Combat Stress, Cystic Fibrosis Trust, Diabetes UK, Ealing Samaritans, Ealing Amnesty International, Epilepsy Research UK, Facing the World, Friends of Hammersmith Hospital, Motor Neurone Disease Association, Mind, Multiple Sclerosis Trust, Parkinson’s UK, RNLI, Save the Children, Soil Association, and Stella Maris – Apostleship of the Sea.
