Ealing Broadway shopping centre has announced Home-Start Ealing as its new charity partner for the year.
Part of the national Home-Start UK network, Home-Start Ealing provides practical and emotional support to families with young children across the borough.
Its trained volunteers help families facing a range of challenges including postnatal depression, bereavement, financial struggles and social isolation.
With the support of Ealing Broadway shopping centre, the charity is gearing up for a year of fundraising, awareness, and family-focused events aimed to strengthen its reach and support more families in need.
The first event is a springtime celebration which will take place on 16th April 2025. With a small donation of £1 or £2, families can take part in an Easter Egg Hunt around the centre, get crafty decorating Easter baskets or try their luck in a ‘Name the Easter Character’ competition. Every pound raised will go directly towards supporting Home-Start Ealing’s work.
Andrew Rollings, Centre Director at Ealing Broadway, said: “The work that Home-Start Ealing does to help local families is vital and we want to go some way to help them continue to reach those that need it most.
“We’re always so thankful for the generosity of our visitors with our community initiatives. We’re looking forward to kicking off our support with our Easter event next week which I’m sure will prove popular with families!”
