Dog treat vending machine debuts in Hanwell Pub

Hanwell’s Fox Inn on Green Lane has become the site for a new canine-friendly innovation, with an Ealing-based business offering the UK’s first vending machine dedicated to healthy dog treats.

Muddy Barkers, a small business founded by entrepreneur Roshni Tulluri, is behind the pooch initiative. The machines, now also at the Bailiwick Freehouse in Egham, are stocked with natural, sustainable and locally sourced dog treats.

Prices for items sold in the machine are £3 – £7 each with dog owners using contactless payment for purchases.

Ms Tulluri said: “Our aim was to create something simple, joyful, and dog-friendly. We wanted to bring more convenience to dog owners while supporting local hospitality and giving pups a reason to enjoy outings too.”

The vending machines have been developed with support from Grow London Local — a programme by London & Partners, backed by the Mayor of London — which helps small businesses.

Vanesa Perez Sanchez, director of small business service at London & Partners, praised the project as: “a great example of how London’s small businesses are combining innovation, community spirit, and a touch of fun to stand out.”
