Nationwide Ealing to host pop-up dementia clinic

A pop-up clinic offering help and advice to anyone impacted by dementia will be taking place in December as part of an initiative between building society giant Nationwide and Dementia UK.

The Ealing Broadway branch is one of 200 pop-up clinics that Nationwide is hosting across the UK and will feature specialist support and information from Dementia UK’s Admiral Nurses.

Dementia UK says its support includes practical and emotional advice covering a wide range of topics including concerns about memory, getting a diagnosis, and how the condition can progress.

Residents can book a slot at the pop-up clinic which takes place on 3 December, 4 December and 5 December 2024 by clicking here.

Sarah Priestley, Admiral Nurse at Dementia UK, said: “We’re looking forward to bringing specialist face-to-face support for people affected by dementia to Ealing. By partnering with Nationwide, we are able to provide a safe space in towns across the county to ensure our Admiral Nurses are able to reach as many people affected by the condition as possible.”

Debbie Crosbie, Nationwide chief executive officer, said: “Nationwide wants to help people live their best life possible, for as long as possible. By working with Dementia UK to fund more Admiral Nurses and turning our branches into dementia clinics, we’re helping to tackle the country’s leading cause of death.”
