Five NHS teams across Ealing have joined forces in a pioneering initiative aimed at delivering holistic, community-based healthcare to residents in the borough.
Earlier this month (3 July 2025), West London NHS Trust held a Musculoskeletal (MSK) Community Health Day at Greenford Hall, bringing together services focused on diabetes, smoking cessation, tuberculosis and public health outreach.
The event offered health checks, educational tools and support for Ealing residents.
Interactive diabetes education sessions, dubbed “sugar games,” revealed how carbohydrates affect blood sugar, with materials available in English, Punjabi and Tamil. The Healthy Ealing Team led awareness campaigns on stroke, cancer, and Alzheimer’s, while also collaborating with Recovery Intervention Services (RISE) to promote harm reduction.
Prachi Soni, service manager for long term conditions said: “This was integrated care at its best. We connected with residents in the community in a meaningful way and provided support that hopefully makes a real difference.”
