The early years team at Stanhope Primary School in Greenford has been named a Silver Award winner in the Early Years Team of the Year category at the 2025 Pearson National Teaching Awards.
The announcement, made on National Thank a Teacher Day (18 June 2025) was marked with a surprise school assembly, where children and families shared their gratitude. Each staff member was presented with a single rose, which headteacher Hannah Widdison described as a symbol of “our deep appreciation”.
Speaking to EALING.NEWS, Ms Widdison said: “We’re absolutely thrilled that our Early Years Team has been named Silver Winners… This national recognition is a real honour and a reflection of the passion, dedication and teamwork that underpin everything we do at Stanhope.
“This achievement belongs to our whole school community. As the saying goes, ‘it takes a village to raise a child’ – and this award celebrates every child, every family, every governor, every member of staff, and all the magical moments we’ve shared.”
She added: “Everyone – from teachers to the site team – plays a vital role in making our school such a special place.”
Winning silver means the team is now in contention for the Gold Award, with the winners to be revealed in the autumn.
