An exhibition of photographic work by final year photography students from the London School of Film Media and Design (LSFMD) at Ealing’s University of West London (UWL) has opened at Gunnersbury Park Museum.
The work by the BA (Hons) photography students, which is on display until 2 February 2025, features various themes including explorations of cultural heritage, night-time walks along the Thames and collages.
The course the students are on encourages a practical and critical exploration of photography and aims to help students develop their own vision through modules which challenge their understanding of the medium.
Course leader Peter Bennett said: “It is fantastic to be able to tour the degree show to a new venue and such a grand one at that. The gallery space at the museum is unsurprisingly very popular and I am delighted that we have been able to secure a slot there.”
Photography student Rui Garcia took inspiration from the city for his work. He said: “I created collages that put many different aspects of London into one image. I love doing street photography and I use photography to express the things that I feel.”
The exhibition is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10am – 4:30pm and runs until 2 February 2025.
