Students at Notting Hill & Ealing High School are celebrating their best set of GCSE results since the pandemic, with more than half of all entries awarded the top grade.
The school revealed that 54% of entries were graded 9, while 82% achieved grade 9 or 8 and 93% fell within grades 9 to 7. The figures mark a significant rise on last year’s results.
Among the standout performances, seven students achieved 10 grade 9s, with a further eight securing nine grade 9s. In total, 35 girls gained straight 9s and 8s.
Allison Saunders, head of the school, praised the determination of the cohort. “I am absolutely delighted that our students have obtained such excellent results. They have shown real determination, ambition and energy in their studies, and we are so proud of them.”
Ms Saunders added: “These results are a firm foundation on which to build in the Sixth Form. I am enormously grateful to all our staff for the support and inspiration that they give to our students.”
The school highlighted strong outcomes across its subject offering, noting particularly strong results in English literature and language, Spanish, physics, Latin and Greek, alongside continued strength in STEM and the humanities. Creative subjects were also singled out for praise.
