Ealing’s University of West London has been ranked in the QS World University Rankings: Europe 2026 for the first time, in what it said was an important step towards greater international recognition.
The university was placed in the 551–560 band overall on its first appearance, which it said put it in the top 60% of universities across Europe. In the Northern Europe sub-regional table, UWL was ranked 159th.
The institution was also recognised for measures linked to research impact and global engagement. It was ranked in the top 50% in Europe for citations per paper, and in the top 25% for internationalisation, including student and faculty diversity.
Professor Peter John CBE, vice-chancellor and president, said: “This recognition is a really positive milestone for UWL and reflects our growing international profile. Being ranked in the QS Europe Rankings for the first time is an important step forward as we continue to build our reputation and broaden opportunities for our students and staff.”
