Residents across Ealing together with politicians including local councillors and members of parliament gathered on the steps of Ealing Town Hall Sunday (18 September 2022) at 8pm on the eve of Queen Elizabeth’s state funeral to join with others across the nation by taking part in the National Moment of Reflection.
The Ealing Council organised one minute silence was attended by Councillor Mohinder Midha, Mayor of Ealing, Councillor Peter Mason, leader of Ealing Labour and Ealing Council, Liberal Democrat Councillor Gary Malcolm, leader of the Opposition and Councillor Julian Gallant, leader of the Conservatives. Other dignitaries and civic leaders also joined residents from Ealing outside the Town Hall.
All three members of Parliament were in attendance: Dr Rupa Huq, MP for Ealing Central and Acton, Virendra Sharma, MP for Ealing, Southall and James Murray, MP for Ealing North.
