There is just one month left to nominate your local Ealing councillor for a nationwide award which recognises the work they do.
Entries for the 2024 Local Government Information Unit (LGIU) and CCLA Councillor Awards close on 13 September 2024 with the prestigious awards ceremony taking place at the Guildhall in London on 20 November 2024.
Across Ealing and its seven towns there are 70 elected councillors doing work for their local wards and communities.
There are five categories for the awards – Community Champion, Leader of the Year, Young Councillor of the Year, Innovator of the Year and Lifetime Legend. Residents can nominate a councillor by clicking here.
As well as residents, councillors and council officers can also nominate a councillor for an award.
The shortlist will be revealed in October.
Jonathan Carr-West, chief executive LGIU, said: “The LGIU is proud to once again host the annual Councillor Awards, paying tribute to our locally elected representatives and sharing examples of the innovation and dedication our councillors demonstrate day in day out.”
Mr Carr-West added: “More than ever local communities rely on councillors, whose positive contributions impact our daily lives in many ways, from maintaining streets to funding community projects and shaping the character of our towns.”
