A 40-year-old man from Southall has been sent to prison for six months for possession of heroin.
Ranjit Baden of West End Road, Southall was sentenced at Isleworth Crown Court on 31 October 2022.
Baden was stopped by officers from Lady Margaret Safer Neighbourhood Team on 23 July 2022 on Northcote Avenue, Southall, after being seen in an alleyway. During a drugs seacrch, officers found five wraps of heroin in his pocket and he was arrested for possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
In his police interview, Baden admitted to possession of the drugs and was later charged and put before the court, where he entered a guilty plea
PC Daniel Martinez, Lady Margaret Safer Neighbourhoods Team said: “The West Area Safer Neighbourhood Teams are dedicated to dealing with the issues raised by our residents. We will continue to tackle and disrupt those intent on supplying and using drugs on our streets.”
