A man has been arrested on suspicion of public indecency at Elthorne Park in Hanwell following reports from members of the public.
Police said officers were called at around 3pm on 12 April 2026 after receiving multiple reports of a man seen committing an act of public indecency in the southern section of the park.
Officers attended within minutes and detained the suspect at the scene, with police thanking passers-by and local residents who helped identify him.
The man remains under investigation.
In a statement, police said the swift response was made possible due to calls from the public, which enabled officers to locate and detain the individual quickly.
Officers have also said patrols will be stepped up in parks and open spaces across the area over the summer months, with residents encouraged to attend upcoming local ward events to meet their neighbourhood policing teams and raise any concerns.
