More than 30 cannabis plants have been found growing in an illegal cannabis factory at a house in East Acton following a raid by Metropolitan Police officers from East Acton Safer Neighbourhoods Team (SNT) with support from nearby North Acton SNT.
East Acton SNT said they conducted a section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act search warrant on 1 February 2024 and discovered a cannabis factory in the ward which was then closed down.
On X (previously known as Twitter), East Acton police said: “East Acton SNT with cluster colleagues have conducted a Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act search warrant today uncovering a cannabis factory on the ward. A great result for the entire cluster, we remain dedicated to disrupting criminal enterprise and keeping our residents safe.”
North Acton police commented on X following the raid and seizure of cannabis: “The warrant was a success and another factory has been closed.”
Met Police have not provided any further details if arrests have been made or the exact amount of cannabis seized.
