Three Ealing employers underpaid 17 workers nearly £18,000

Three Ealing businesses have been named by the Government for failing to pay workers the minimum wage.

The employers, based in Ealing, Acton and Greenford, are among nearly 660 across the UK named by the Government yesterday (3 September 2026) for breaking minimum wage law.

Between them, the three local employers underpaid 17 workers by a total of £17,927.73.

The largest amount locally was owed by Suntechgadget Limited, trading as Suntechgadget, in Ealing. The Government said it failed to pay £14,872.20 to three workers.

Companies House records show Suntechgadget Limited was ordered by a court to be wound up in June 2025, following the completion of a voluntary arrangement the previous month.

Fatman’s Acton Limited, trading as Boss Pizza Acton, failed to pay £2,041.58 to five workers. Companies House records show the company was dissolved on 25 August 2026.

In Greenford, Mr A Ekrayem, Mr M N Chaban, Mr E Shaban and Mr B Al’Saadi, trading as Damasgate Wholesale, were named for failing to pay £1,013.95 to nine workers.

The National Living Wage for workers aged 21 and over is currently £12.71 an hour. The National Minimum Wage is £10.85 for workers aged 18 to 20 and £8 for under-18s and apprentices.

HM Revenue and Customs enforces minimum wage rules on behalf of the Fair Work Agency and investigates complaints from workers who believe they have been underpaid.

The Government said more than £66 million has been repaid to 650,000 workers since employers who failed to pay the minimum wage began being publicly named in 2011. More than £100 million in penalties have been issued to over 5,200 employers.

Across the latest UK-wide naming round, around £4 million has been repaid to more than 27,000 workers, with penalties totalling £7 million issued to employers.

Minister for the Future of Work Kate Dearden said: “Underpaying your staff is illegal, and we will not let workers foot the bill for their boss failing to follow the rules.”
