Nail and beauty treatment bar, The Pretty Parlour in Ealing’s The Green is organising a special Christmas market inside its premises on Sunday (3 November 2024) from 11.30am to 5pm which will feature 15 local independent vendors offering unique gifts and treats.
Since launching earlier this year, The Pretty Parlour from lifelong Ealing resident Kimberley Bassaragh-Mills has been pampering and delighting its clients.
Developed as a nail and cocktail bar, it aims to provide an upscale pampering experience for its clientele with much thought going into the products and services it offers. From Veuve Clicquot champagne through to Whittard teas to enjoy while being pampered, The Pretty Parlour uses Bio Sculpture and its range of products to make nails look their best.
EALING.NEWS spoke to owner manager Ciara Blundell who explained more about the Christmas market.
Tell us about the market taking place inside your store?
The Christmas market will take place inside The Pretty Parlour. Our salon offers a cozy and festive setting, perfect for a community-focused event like this. The atmosphere will feel intimate and personal, giving shoppers a unique opportunity to browse in a relaxed environment while enjoying the holiday spirit. We believe that having the market within our salon adds a special touch of warmth, allowing customers to connect more closely with both our vendors and our brand.
What products can people buy on the day?
Visitors to the Christmas market will be able to purchase a wide variety of products, perfect for gifting or treating themselves. Our offerings will include high-quality skin care and hair care items, personalised gifts for that extra-special touch, and experience-based gifts such as pampering treatments. Additionally, we will have a selection of local artisanal goods and festive surprises that cater to all tastes and budgets. This carefully curated range will ensure there’s something for everyone, whether they’re looking for beauty essentials or unique, bespoke items.
How many types of vendors will be selling things on the day?
We are excited to welcome around 15 different vendors to the market, all bringing their own unique products. Each vendor has been selected to offer something special, whether that’s handmade crafts, eco-friendly products, or locally sourced goods. By featuring a diverse array of sellers, we aim to provide our customers with a truly varied shopping experience, while also showcasing the incredible talent and creativity within our local business community.
What excites you about opening your doors for this Christmas market?
What excites us most is the chance to combine two things we love: Christmas and community. Kim, our founder, is a huge fan of the holiday season and wanted to create an event that captures that festive magic while also supporting local businesses like ours. The Pretty Parlour has always believed in the power of collaboration, and this market is a wonderful way to show how businesses in Ealing can lift each other up. We can’t wait to see the salon transformed into a bustling marketplace and to welcome both familiar faces and new visitors during this special time of year.

At The Pretty Parlour, we have always been passionate about supporting local communities and independent businesses. By hosting this Christmas market, we’re putting that commitment into action. We believe in creating opportunities for small businesses like ours to thrive, and this event is a way to share our space with fellow entrepreneurs, helping each other grow during a critical time of year.
