Specsavers Westway Cross celebrates a decade

Specsavers in Westway Cross, Greenford has celebrated its 10th anniversary by welcoming the Mayor of Ealing Councillor Yvonne Johnson to its branch.

The Mayor was given a full tour of the store by ophthalmic director Shaan Patel and retail director Padmarekha Halubai who also introduced her to the other members of the local team including ophthalmic director Atul Ladwa and audiology director Julie Caulton.

The store employs 21 full time and 10 part-time staff.

Marking its celebrations of being at Westway Cross for 10 years, Mrs Halubai said: ‘We’re delighted to welcome the Mayor to our store today to join in our special 10th anniversary. The time has flown by since we opened in 2014.”

Mrs Halubai added: “The retail park has greatly changed during that time as more national retailers have launched their sites here too, with the retail park becoming a destination centre for the West London region, and a highlight within the M25. We’re also very proud of the difference our team makes.’

Mr Shaan said: ‘We’re thrilled that the Mayor of Ealing has been able to support this important anniversary along with our store team. As a team we are extremely proud to be part of the community, delivering a high standard of clinical care and customer service. We’re also very grateful to our long-serving customers and their families who have become part of our community over the last 10 years.”
