A Specsavers store in Greenford has reopened after a £300,000 refurbishment aimed at expanding its optical and hearing services.
The Broadway branch, which has served the local community for more than two decades, has undergone a major refit introducing new diagnostic equipment, additional clinic space and a redesigned shop floor intended to improve the customer experience.
The reopening was marked by a community event attended by the Mayor of Ealing, Councillor Anthony Kelly, who toured the upgraded store with partners Padmarekha Halubai, Shaan Patel and Atul Ladwa.
Visitors also met Hearing Dogs for Deaf People ambassador Louise Halvey and her hearing dog, Flora. Dhol musicians from Imperial Drummers performed traditional Punjabi music outside the store during the event.
Shaan Patel, ophthalmic director at the store, said: “We’re delighted to welcome the Mayor of Ealing, Louise and Flora as they join us in celebrating our recent store refit. This marks a key milestone in enhancing our provision of optical and hearcare services and serving the Greenford community since 2003.”
