An Ealing entrepreneur has joined a trade mission to the United States aimed at helping West London companies break into the American market.
Thomas Akintan, co-founder of AI training and research company Avalon Insights, travelled to Atlanta for the Go Global Conference as part of a delegation organised by West London Chambers of Commerce.
During the visit, Mr Akintan met US businesses to discuss their use of artificial intelligence and explore whether Avalon Insights could work with them.

Mr Akintan said: “This trade mission has given us a valuable opportunity to connect with US businesses, understand their challenges and explore how Avalon Insights can support their AI journey.”
Another Ealing entrepreneur taking part was Audrey Linton, founder of P31 Consultancy, which specialises in leadership training. Ms Linton held meetings with businesses including representatives of Atlanta Airport and was invited to deliver a closing speech at the conference.
West London Chambers of Commerce, which covers Ealing, Hounslow and Hammersmith & Fulham, led the only European trade delegation attending the conference.
The mission builds on an agreement to strengthen trade links signed between West London Chambers and Atlanta Black Chambers in 2024.
Alan Rides, chief executive of West London Chambers of Commerce, said: “For an SME, entering a market like the US can feel daunting. By going as a delegation, opening doors and putting businesses directly in front of the right people, we can make that opportunity much more accessible.”
An Atlanta business delegation is expected to visit Brentford in 2027 for the West London Festival of Business, continuing the links established during the trip.
