Ealing’s New Gen Festival, by and for young people, will return to Walpole Park next week for its fifth year, showcasing music, dance and emerging talent.
The event, part of the Ealing Summer Festivals programme, takes place on 29 July 2026 from 2pm to 9pm and aims to provide opportunities for young people across Ealing to perform, develop creative skills and connect with their community.
New Gen has also expanded beyond the main festival day, with organisers holding three open mic nights and a careers session so far this year, alongside three more careers events planned. This year’s programme will feature 32 artists on the Main Stage, around 20 performers in the cypher, more than 30 acts on the Amplify Stage and 15 open mic slots.
Robin Vaughan-Williams, event producer, told EALING.NEWS: “New Gen isn’t just a music festival, it’s the only festival of its kind in West London that is both by and for youth.
“Our growing community of young producers and artists make sure New Gen stays relevant to their generation and establishes Ealing as a place where young people can be creative, make connections, and be part of something big.”
Alongside live music, the festival will feature DJs, spoken word performances, breaking and popping dance battles organised by Battle of the Boroughs, community performances, open mic sessions and creative drop-in activities, including musical instrument taster sessions.
Among the organisations behind the festival are Bollo Brook Youth Centre, Ealing Council, JE Delve and a range of community partners.
Tickets cost £3 for under-25s and £5 for everyone else.
