£1.4m fund opens to help improve Ealing’s high streets

Ealing Council is offering local businesses grants of up to £20,000 to pay for improvements to shopfronts, public spaces and shopping areas across the borough.

The grants are part of the council’s £1.4 million Thriving Towns Fund, with applications now open to businesses in Ealing’s seven towns.

The grants can pay for improvements such as new lighting, public seating, planting, shopfronts and signage, as well as better access for disabled people and equipment for local markets.

Business Improvement Districts (BIDs), trade associations and other business groups can also apply for up to £10,000 to fund activities designed to attract more shoppers to local high streets.

Councillor Monica Hamidi, Ealing Council’s cabinet member for good growth, said: “Our high streets and town centres are at the heart of community life, which is why it’s important that residents, businesses, and anyone local to the borough help us to identify the changes that will have the greatest impact.”

Applications close at midday on 30 November 2026, with applicants due to be notified by 11 December 2026.

Businesses can find further information and apply through the Ealing Council website.
