Visitors to South Ealing Cemetery will be able to explore its history, discover local wildlife and learn about plans to restore its historic chapels during a free open day on Saturday 31 October 2026.
Organised by Ealing Parks Foundation, the event will include guided walks, a craft market, a pop-up café and family activities.
The cemetery’s Grade II-listed chapels, which are on Historic England’s At Risk Register, will also be open for visitors to see the clock room and stained-glass windows.
Guided walks include tours of Commonwealth war graves at 11.30am and 2.30pm, a nature walk at 12.30pm and a bilingual Polish heritage tour at 1.30pm, exploring the lives of military figures, a spy and a former prime minister buried at the cemetery.
A Halloween-themed wildlife walk using bat detectors will take place from 3pm to 4.30pm.
The Wandering Fox Market and Bossa Nova pop-up café will run from 11am to 3pm.
Activities are free, with most taking place near the South Ealing Road entrance. The Polish heritage walk starts at the Popes Lane entrance.
