Woman punched and kicked on Elizabeth line train as police issue Southall appeal

Police have launched an appeal to identify a woman after another woman was punched in the head and kicked in an unprovoked attack on an Elizabeth line train travelling from Heathrow.

The attacker left the train at Southall station following the assault, which happened at around 10pm on 2 August 2026.

British Transport Police (BTP) said the victim had boarded the train at Heathrow and sat next to another woman, who then attacked her without provocation.

BTP has now released an image of a woman detectives want to speak to, who they believe may have information which could help their investigation.

Anyone who recognises her is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 702 of 2 August.

Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
