Gym users in Northolt and Acton are getting new and improved facilities as Everyone Active rolls out upgrades across its leisure centres in Ealing.
The work is part of a previously announced £2.5 million investment following the start of Everyone Active’s new 10-year contract with Ealing Council in March.
Northolt Leisure Centre’s newly expanded gym reopened last Friday (25 September 2026), with more space and new equipment. The gym has grown from 120 to 150 fitness stations and now also includes a recovery area and two hydromassage beds.
There is also a new group cycling studio with room for 28 riders, while the former community hall has been turned into two exercise studios so different classes can take place at the same time.
James Sexton, contract manager at Everyone Active, said: “There has been a huge amount of work taking place across our Ealing facilities over recent months, and it’s fantastic to see the improvements coming together.”
More work is still to come at Northolt, where the poolside changing facilities are being refurbished and are due to be completed by the end of October.
Over at Acton Centre, a new 12-bed Reformer studio opened in March and the women-only gym reopened in a new space in July. Everyone Active says the women-only gym is now attracting around 2,500 visits a month.
The centre’s main gym is also getting bigger, with an expansion of around 50% due to be completed in October.
Reynolds Sports Centre is next in line for improvements this autumn, while work on the main and women-only gyms at Dormers Wells Leisure Centre is due to start in November.
Councillor Lauren Wall, Ealing Council’s cabinet member for thriving communities, said: “It’s fantastic to see this significant investment being delivered across our leisure centres.”
