An adult and a child were taken to hospital after a fire broke out in a ninth-floor flat in Acton during the early hours of Monday morning (28 September 2026).
Five fire engines and around 35 firefighters were called to the blaze in Trinity Way, in a 12-storey residential block.
The adult and child had left the flat before firefighters arrived and were treated for smoke inhalation by London Ambulance Service before being taken to hospital.
The four-room flat was partially damaged in the fire.
London Fire Brigade said the blaze is believed to have started accidentally after a toaster ignited combustible materials nearby.
The brigade received the first of five calls reporting the fire at 12.54am, with crews from Acton, Hammersmith, North Kensington and surrounding fire stations sent to the scene.
Firefighters brought the blaze under control by 2.12am.
