East Acton police step up Trinity Park patrols

Residents’ concerns about anti-social behaviour in Trinity Park have led to increased police patrols in East Acton.

Officers from the East Acton Safer Neighbourhoods Team have been carrying out regular patrols in the park after the issue was highlighted by locals through a Met Engage priority survey.

During one patrol, police spoke to a man who had set up a tent and was camping in the park. Officers said evidence of alcohol consumption was also found.

According to police, other park users had reported feeling concerned and unsafe because of the man’s behaviour. He was asked to leave the park and was given details of local support services that could offer assistance.

Police have also been responding to complaints about dogs being walked off leads and people handling multiple dogs without adequate control.

PCSO Gary Pang from the East Acton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “Officers from the East Acton Safer Neighbourhoods Team have been conducting regular patrols at Trinity Park in response to community concerns relating to anti-social behaviour.

“Patrols in the area will continue, and officers remain committed to addressing community concerns and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all park users.”
