Shaparak Khorsandi hosts fundraiser for Mahaba Cafe

Shaparak Khorsandi is bringing the laughs back to Ealing next month as the comedian and local resident prepares to host a comedy fundraiser at Questors Theatre in Matlock Lane to support a community social enterprise helping young people with SEND.

The fundraiser is the second comedy night organised by Mahaba Cafe, the West Ealing-based social enterprise supporting young people with learning disabilities and autism through training, work experience and employment opportunities.

Khorsandi, an ambassador for Mahaba Cafe, will headline the 2 June 2026 event. Also appearing are fellow comics Esther Manito, Terry Alderton, Bella Hull, Alistair Barrie, Abigoliah Schamaun and Clint Edwards.

Young people from Mahaba Café’s advisory board have also helped organise the evening and will welcome guests on the night.

Muriel Walckiers, founder of Mahaba Café, said: “Every ticket sold helps us keep our doors open to create more training and employment opportunities for young people with SEND in our community.”

The fundraiser starts at 7.30pm, with tickets available through the Questors Theatre website.
