Ealing Council has said more than 1,000 abandoned vehicles — including high-end sports cars — have been removed from streets and housing estates across the borough as part of a major crackdown.
The operation, launched in September 2025, has seen 1,000 vehicles towed away within its first seven months — more than double the number the council would usually remove in an entire year.
Most of the vehicles were seized from public roads, while around 125 were removed from council housing estates and two from private land.
Among the vehicles taken away were a Maserati, Rolls Royce, Jaguar and several Audis. Officers also discovered a machete and Class A drugs inside one abandoned vehicle.
Enforcement teams are continuing to patrol housing estates and known dumping hotspots across the borough, responding to reports from residents and removing untaxed or abandoned vehicles.
Councillor Dominic Moffitt, cabinet member for climate action at Ealing Council, said: “Abandoned vehicles can attract anti-social behaviour, take up valuable parking space and cause real frustration for residents.
“Removing more than 1,000 vehicles in just a few months shows how seriously we are taking this issue.”
