Man arrested after police seize 500 cannabis plants in Acton raid

More than 500 cannabis plants have been seized and a man arrested after police uncovered a suspected cannabis factory in Acton.

Metropolitan Police officers executed a warrant at a property in High Street, Acton, in the early hours of Tuesday (12 May 2026) under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of cultivating a Class B drug and remains in police custody following the raid.

Police said more than 500 cannabis plants were found inside the property.

The raid involved Safer Neighbourhood officers from across the local area.

PC Maxim Cooper told EALING.NEWS: “Operations like this demonstrate the Met’s commitment to disrupting the organised crime groups running these drug factories.

“The drug trade has a significant impact on the community in Acton and across London, and we’re committed to tackling it head-on.”

Anyone with information about suspected drug activity can contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
