A teenager from Southall has been jailed after admitting possessing terrorist material and stalking two teenage girls and a teacher following an investigation by Counter Terrorism Policing London.
Dihan Rahman, 19, downloaded bomb-making guides and extremist material linked to a range of ideologies, including extreme right-wing and Islamist content, detectives said.
Counter Terrorism Policing London officers uncovered the material after analysing Rahman’s mobile phone, computer and an encrypted hard drive.
Rahman pleaded guilty to terrorism offences at the Old Bailey in February 2026 and was sentenced on 6 May 2026, to four years and six months in prison. He must serve at least two thirds of the sentence in custody.
The investigation began after Rahman was accused of stalking and threatening two teenage girls. Police said he repeatedly contacted one of the girls on social media between February and June 2024 after she rejected his attempts to date her.
In May 2024, Rahman posted images of a school prom venue alongside a photograph of a Nazi soldier holding a gun, officers said.
Police said he later targeted another teenage girl in a similar way and made malicious complaints about a teacher.
Commander Helen Flanagan, head of Counter Terrorism Policing London, said: “This case is yet another example of a growing and concerning trend of young people being drawn into extremist, violent and terrorist ideologies.
“Rahman’s actions towards his victims – two of whom were teenage girls – were completely unacceptable and I want to praise their incredible courage and resilience throughout this whole ordeal. I would also like to praise the actions of Rahman’s teachers, who contacted police with their concerns, which enabled us to intervene and investigate when we did.”
