Ealing’s University of West London (UWL) is set to host several headline events for this year’s Ealing Book Festival as the literary programme returns later this week.
The festival, now in its third year, opens on Wednesday (29 April 2026) and will feature authors, broadcasters and public figures at venues across the borough, with a number of sessions taking place at the university’s St Mary’s Road campus in Ealing.
Writers due to appear there include Jung Chang, Anthony Horowitz, William Boyd and Mary Portas. The festival will also feature a local authors showcase.
Professor Peter John CBE, vice-chancellor and president of the University of West London, said: “We are delighted to welcome Ealing Book Festival to our campus and to support an event that celebrates the power of ideas, imagination and discussion.”
He added that universities should be places where communities come together to learn, debate and be inspired.
