Ealing Broadway station hosts street photography calendar sale

Calendars and Christmas cards featuring photographs of London taken by people experiencing homelessness will go on sale at Ealing Broadway Elizabeth line station on 18, 20 and 22 December 2025.

The creative calendars and cards are part of an initiative run since 2012 by the charity MYWORLD, formerly known as Cafe Art, which aims to empower people who are rough sleeping or living in temporary accommodation. The calendars and cards will be available to buy between 11:30am and 8pm.

Volunteers, including staff from GTS Rail Operations Limited, which operates the Elizabeth line on behalf of Transport for London, distribute disposable cameras at The Crypt at St Paul’s Cathedral. Participants take photos of the capital from their own perspective and return the cameras a week later. After the images are developed, each photographer selects three favourites, which are displayed at three Elizabeth line stations for the public to vote on.

The winning pictures appear in an annual calendar, My London, Photos From The Street. MYWORLD said the photographers would earn 50% of the retail price, with the remainder covering production costs.

Cards featuring festive scenes in Regent Street, Oxford Street and Knightsbridge will also be sold, with photographers receiving a commission. Proceeds will help fund digital cameras for a free weekly mentoring group run with The Royal Photographic Society.
