Notting Hill & Ealing ranked among best value-for-money independent schools

Notting Hill & Ealing High School (NHEHS), an independent day school for girls, has been ranked one of the UK’s best value-for-money private schools, according to a new analysis by Telegraph Money.

The report assessed schools based on academic outcomes at GCSE and A Level relative to the fees they charge. NHEHS was rated as offering “very good” value for money.

For the January to July 2025 term, fees were £6,879.04 (including VAT) for pupils in the junior school (Reception to Year 6) and £8,920.80 (including VAT) for those in the senior school (Years 7 to 13). From September 2025, these will rise to £7,120.00 for the junior school and £9,234.00 for the senior school.

NHEHS is part of the Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST), a network of 24 independent schools and two academies.

Allison Saunders, headteacher at the school, welcomed the recognition. She said: “It’s wonderful that Notting Hill & Ealing has been recognised as offering outstanding value for money. We work incredibly hard to ensure that every aspect of our education – academic, pastoral and co-curricular – delivers real, tangible benefits for our students.”

Ms Saunders added: “What makes our school special is the way we combine academic excellence with a warm, empowering environment. Our consistently strong outcomes at GCSE and A Level, and our university destinations, speak volumes about the quality of our provision. This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our staff and the vibrant spirit of our school community.”

GDST chief executive Cheryl Giovannoni said: “We work extremely hard to keep fees as affordable as possible, so we can continue to reach as many girls as possible. It is heartening to see this recognised by Telegraph Money in what remains a very challenging environment.”
