Ealing Council has issued a public health warning update following the deaths of two people over the Bank Holiday weekend after taking unidentified dangerous green pills believed to be circulating in the Southall area.
Previously, the pills were thought to have been blue in colour but it has been confirmed they were green coloured.
The two individuals, who were together at the time of the incident, died after consuming the illicit substance. The council is now warning residents about the potential danger posed by these pills and urging anyone who may have taken similar substances to seek medical attention immediately if they feel unwell.
In a statement, Ealing Council said: “Please remember, there is no way of knowing what is in any pill or drug that is bought illegally, or how your body will react.”
It added: “If you, or anyone you are with, starts to feel unwell after taking any pill or drug, go to your nearest Accident and Emergency department or call 999. Always seek medical attention and do not try to sleep it off or drink lots of water.”
