Ealing Hospital seeks green-fingered volunteers

Ealing Hospital is appealing for green-fingered locals who can volunteer time to help prepare and plant in areas at the hospital.

A number of locations in the hospital grounds have been identified for planting to improve the local biodiversity and attract more insects and wildlife.

A hospital spokesperson said: “The green makeover was given the thumbs up by staff last year who voted for four projects as part of a £1m donation by LNWH charity.”

“The trust, which is working in partnership with Cultivate London, is looking for up to 20 volunteers who can be periodically available during the next ten months with the busiest time between March and May.”

The first ground preparation session is planned for this month.
